Simon Fraser University (SFU) is a public research university in Canada, with campuses in Burnaby, Surrey, and Vancouver, British Columbia. It was founded in 1965 and named after the explorer Simon Fraser.

SFU consistently ranks among the top universities in Canada and was the first Canadian university to receive accreditation in the United States.
