Humboldt University Berlin – a public university in Germany, located in Berlin and founded in 1810. It is one of the oldest universities in Germany. Established by Prussian King Frederick William III, it was originally named after him. In 1949, it was renamed in honor of the Humboldt brothers, renowned German scholars. The university was a revolutionary institution in its time, combining education and advanced research within the same institution. In 2010, Humboldt University celebrated its 200th anniversary.
The university consists of multiple faculties, interdisciplinary centers, and central institutes, making it one of the most prestigious universities in Europe today.
