HTW Berlin (Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin) is the largest public university of applied sciences in Berlin and Eastern Germany. Although it became an independent university in 1994, its origins trace back to the 19th century during the German Empire, when it was initially founded as a technical institute. Today, the university enrolls approximately 13,500 students across more than 70 study programs and is recognized as one of Germany’s leading universities.
