Southampton Solent University is a
public university in the UK with a 160-year history, located on the south coast of England in the major port city of Southampton, Hampshire.
Although Solent gained university status in 2005, its roots trace back to a private School of Art founded in 1856. The modern university was formed through the merger of several colleges, including Southampton College of Art, Southampton Technical College, Warsash Maritime College.

Southampton Solent University has two campuses: City Campus and Warsash Maritime Academy.
The university features numerous laboratories and workshops, including computer labs, biomechanics and physiology labs, specialized equipment and simulators for hands-on training.
